Everything Grantary does, feature by feature.
The complete list of what is live in the product today. For funders, for grantees, and for the shared record between them.
For funders
Run fair, well-run programmes with less administration.
Programmes and applications
Set the programme up once. Applications arrive through one link, already checked.
5 features
Design your programme once
Budget, award range, application dates, eligibility rules, questions and scoring criteria, all in one place. Before you publish, a built-in check warns you if the form asks small organisations for more work than the award is worth.
Applications arrive through one link
Any organisation can apply through a single web link. No PDFs to email and no accounts to set up first. A first-time applicant creates their organisation as they apply.
Eligibility checked before assessment
Every application is checked against your rules and the official registers before anyone starts scoring. Your panel gets answers they can stand behind. Anything uncertain is flagged for a person to review rather than waved through.
Sift first, then invite
Run a short first-round stage to narrow the field before anyone writes a full application. The applicants you invite carry straight on. Nothing is retyped.
Your grants published properly
Funders are expected to publish awards as open data in the 360Giving format. Grantary creates that file from the grants you have already recorded, ready to publish.
Assessment and award
People score against published criteria, with their reasons kept. An award becomes a live grant in one click.
6 features
People decide. Never an algorithm
Some platforms now use AI to score and shortlist applications. Grantary deliberately does not. No application here is ever scored, ranked or rejected by AI. Where AI helps at all, it helps people write. It does not judge what they wrote.
Score fairly, side by side
Assessors score against your published criteria, and every score keeps the written reasoning behind it. You compare applications on the same basis, not on memory.
Conflicts of interest handled up front
An assessor confirms they have no conflict before they can open an application. Anyone connected to the applicant organisation is turned away automatically.
Every decision carries its reasons
Award, decline or invite to the next stage: the reasons are recorded with the decision, ready for the day someone asks why.
Every applicant can hear how to come back stronger
Send any applicant, including unsuccessful ones, written feedback on what came across well and what would make the next application stronger. AI can offer a first draft built only from what your panel recorded. A person edits every word and chooses to send it.
An award becomes a live grant in one click
Conditions, milestones, reporting dates and the payment schedule are built from your programme and the winning application. The grantee accepts by confirming the record, and delivery starts from day one, already organised.
Conditions that work in practice
Every string attached is written down, watches itself, and can sit on a payment.
4 features
Templates for every common grant shape
From a small project grant to multi-year, capital, research or outcome-based funding, each template produces a plan that matches the size and risk of the award. Not one-size-fits-all paperwork.
Every string attached, written down properly
Each condition records where it came from, who is responsible, when it is due and what happens if it is not met. No surprises buried in clause 14.
Conditions that watch themselves
Conditions tied to spending or delivery show whether they are being met right now, based on what is actually being recorded, not on what someone remembers at report time.
Conditions can sit on a payment
Attach a condition to a specific instalment, so both sides can see exactly what a payment is waiting on. It guides the decision. It does not stop what really happened from being recorded.
For grantees
Win funding, deliver it and prove it without drowning in admin.
Find funding and apply
Open rounds in one place. Applications drawn from what Grantary already knows about you.
6 features
Funding that fits, in one place
Browse open opportunities by award size, deadline, who can apply and where you work, including government grants from GOV.UK, clearly marked. A filter only ever hides funding that has genuinely ruled you out.
Apply without the re-typing
Your organisation's details, documents and track record are already on file, so applications draw on what Grantary already knows about you instead of starting from a blank form.
A head start on your answers
Where a funder allows it, Grantary can offer a first draft of unanswered questions, built only from facts you have already recorded. It does not invent numbers or overwrite your words, and nothing is submitted without you.
Record any grant in minutes
A grant from any funder, on Grantary or not. Answer a few questions about its shape, or hand over the award letter, and the conditions register, milestones, reporting calendar and payment schedule are built for you. From then on nothing is typed twice.
Every application in one view
Won, unsuccessful, in assessment or still in draft: your whole funding pipeline sits in one place, so trustees see the full picture, not just the wins.
Know your funder before you write
Where a funder's giving history is on the UK's public grants record, your application page shows it: how many grants they make, how much, and since when. Your own public grant record appears on your page too.
The organisation passport
Registration, policies, insurance and accounts kept once, verified daily, shared on your terms.
4 features
Your organisation's record, kept once
Registration, policies, insurance and accounts live in one place, ready to reuse in every application and share with every funder, instead of being emailed out again for each one.
Verified against the official registers
Your charity, company or CIC status is checked every day against the Charity Commission for England and Wales, OSCR, the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland and Companies House. An independently confirmed status, not a claim on a form.
Claims and proof, kept honest
Every entry shows how far it has been backed up: self-declared, document supplied, or approved by a funder. Nobody has to guess what has actually been checked.
Shared on your terms
You choose which funders see which parts, you can withdraw access at any time, and you always see exactly what they see.
Delivery, outcomes and evidence
Recorded on the day, from your phone if you like. One file serves everything it supports.
5 features
Record delivery as it happens
A simple log of each session: date, venue, headcount, the paperwork. Captured on the day, not pieced together the weekend before a report is due. Anything added late is honestly marked as late.
Capture evidence from your phone
Quick capture opens your phone's camera and puts the receipt, attendance sheet or event photo straight onto the grant's evidence. Add Grantary to your home screen and it opens ready to capture.
Upload once, use everywhere
One attendance register can support a milestone, a condition, a report and an outcome at the same time. Link it once instead of uploading the same file four times. For a small team, this is the single biggest time-saver.
Evidence nobody can quietly change
Every file is locked the moment it is uploaded. Replacing or removing a document always happens in the open, with the reason kept on record. That is what makes your evidence worth something later.
Impact told honestly
What you did and what actually changed are recorded separately, and every result shows how it was measured and how confident you are. Funders trust it more because it does not overclaim.
Money, tracked honestly
What is due, what arrived, what was spent. Checked as you go, and not moved by Grantary.
4 features
Know what is due, record what arrives
The payment schedule shows every expected instalment and what triggers it. You record what actually arrives. If it is short or late, that shows up straight away instead of at year end.
Spending checked as you go
Each expense is checked against the agreed budget the moment you record it: spending outside the funding dates, over a budget line, a possible duplicate, a missing receipt. Problems surface while they are easy to fix. Nothing stops you recording what happened.
Get ahead of the hard questions
Gentle prompts flag the things a funder might ask about: spending behind schedule, suspiciously round numbers, everything landing in the final month. They come to you first, so you can sort out the story before anyone else asks.
Grantary never touches the money
No payments run through the platform. Grantary keeps the trusted record of money promised, money received and money spent. That is the point.
Joined up
One shared record both sides can trust.
Changes, risks and questions
Change is normal, so it is built in. Decided in writing, on the record.
3 features
Change is normal, so it is built in
A venue falls through, a budget line needs moving, a timeline slips. The grantee asks, the funder decides in writing, and the plan everyone works to is updated, with agreed limits for what can change without asking at all.
Risks raised early, by either side
A shared early-warning list that both sides can see coming. “We told you in March” becomes a link to the record, not an argument about who said what.
Questions answered on the record
This replaces the email chains that grant disputes are made of. Either side can ask, the answer lives with the grant, and only the side that asked can close the question.
Reporting and the audit pack
Reports assembled from the live record. The whole grant in one download anyone can verify.
3 features
Reports assembled, not written
Because delivery, spending and evidence were recorded as they happened, a report is drawn from the live record instead of rebuilt from memory. If a correction is ever needed, the new version sits alongside the original. Nothing is quietly rewritten.
Acceptance releases the next payment
When the funder accepts a report, that recorded decision is what releases the instalment waiting on it. Both sides can always see what is waiting on what. No chasing, no mystery.
The whole grant in one download
Evidence, money, milestones, outcomes and every decision, packaged as a single audit pack that an auditor can check independently, without a Grantary account.
One record, protected
A history that cannot be rewritten, two locks on every account, and roles that mean what they say.
4 features
A history that cannot be rewritten
Every action on a grant is saved to a permanent history that cannot be secretly changed. Nothing is edited or deleted afterwards, and the whole record can be re-checked at any time.
Two locks on every account
A password plus a code from an authenticator app, for everyone. People can be signed out remotely, and accounts lock after repeated failed attempts.
People see exactly what they should
Detailed roles on both sides mean what an administrator's screen says someone can do is exactly what the system allows. Auditors get view-only access by design.
Ask your own record questions
Connect the AI assistant you already use to your Grantary account and ask what is due this month or what happened in March, answered from your own record. It sees exactly what you see, it cannot change anything, and you can disconnect it instantly.
Connect your AI assistant
A record this good can simply answer questions.
Connect the AI assistant you already use, such as Claude or any assistant that can connect securely, to your Grantary account and ask in plain English.
